Is there more chance of a plane crash on a long haul flight?

There's not more chance at all.. you have to just think how you've been safe every other time, so the extra hours are hardly going to make a difference :) A plane can crash at any distance, so there's no point in getting worked up about it, as it's the same as any method of transport, if not the safest :)
