Why did raiders pick heyward-bey and p on crabtree?
The bottom line is that every team has different draft boards...who's considered a better prospect than whom. Just like all the fans on here have different draft boards at least in their head on who's better. There's nothing wrong with the Raiders thinking that Heyward-Bey was the best receiver in the draft. I'm sure they're not the only ones who felt that way...but were the only ones that had the opportunity to draft him, therefore cause criticism. I think Crabtree is the better receiver out of the 2, but you never know. And I don't think DHB is gonna be a bust or nothing. The only thing I feel they did a bad job on is the fact that they could've traded down, gotten another pick or 2, and still gotten the same player and paid him less money because of where he was drafted. I don't feel the Raiders are dumb for feeling Heyward-Bey was better than Crabtree or Maclin, or that they're dumb for drafting him. Just feel they're not too smart because of WHERE they drafted him is all.
